Sony's 3D Laptop, Electronics of the hereafter

At the recent Ifa electronics show, Sony showed us its prototypes of a to be launched Sony 3D laptop. It also has active-shutter glasses that come with it. What these glasses do is that they isolate the view of your left eye from that of your right eye. This results in an astounding pictorial experience.

Sony Bravia

These 3D laptops are ready to be launched in spring 2011. Using frame sequential technology, these laptops rapidly cycle the full screen view between left eye and the right eye. It has blank screens in between to reduce crosstalk and provide a much best image capability to the user. The laptop will show videos at a rate of 240 frames in a second which is important to catch up with a rate of 3D videos at 60 frames per second.

Along with the laptop, Sony also announced that it will add new firmware features to its existing blu-ray players and play middle point 3. They are doing this so that they can also add the 3D feature to these gadgets. Gaming would of course become a whole new caress if this plan is implemented. Games like Mortal Kombat, Sly Trilogy and Virtual Tennis four will see new fans once this technology arrives.

Some people love the huge screen caress while others prefer small screens that they can use by their bedside or keep in their palm. For the big-screen lovers, Sony has announced a 3D projector called the Wv-90. The new 3D projector employs the same technology as the Sony Bravia Tvs namely the active shutter system. This means that the required glasses will also work across the line. I can only dream what a great viewing caress that would be, Just can't wait for the embark on and get my hands on my own big screen.

Here comes the real big news! Sony is planning to embark on its own 3D Tv channel. This announcement came from Howard Stinger himself, the Sony chief executive. He said the content of the channel could consist of history, science, appeal pictures and children's programs. This could be a great embark on for Sony as it would introduce something new and rare from such companies.

For football fans, a great news is that Sony will be releasing the highlights of the World Cup 2010 in South Africa on blu-ray disk at the end of this year. So it's all fascinating stuff at Sony these days. The advent few months will be great to look out for at Sony! If you are a technology geek, then of course you will find it difficult to wait for all these launches. But be patient, patience has its rewards and that's what Sony wants you to do by announcing it so early.

Sony's PlayStation 3 120Gb Slim Console

The Sony Ps3 Slim is ultimately here. Having undergone a diet, the once " fat" video game console has emerged as a slimmer, trimmer cooler version of its customary self and is not too distinct from the customary version.

Sony Bravia

The Slim is smaller in size, a lower price tag and has a 120Gb Hdd this is up from the original's 80Gb. It has the same features as the customary Ps3 yet consumes 34 percent less power. It also takes up about 32 percent less space. A matted end replaces the slick black end of the original. This is an added bonus for those who worry about fingerprints and dust. However; if you like shiny things, all is not loss. There is still some gloss on the side panels and on the disc drive. A new Ps3 logo has been etched on the side.

The hard drive has been moved from the side of the principles to front for better accessibility. If you do so choose, you can replace the hard drive without voiding the warranty. Unscrew two screws, and you are on your way.

The Slim measures 11.42 x 2.56 x 11.42 in relation to 12.75 x 3.86 x 10.8 in the older Ps3 measures.
The Slim weighs 7lbs whereas the customary game console weighed in at 11lbs. This decrease in size and weight makes it more haulable from room to room or place to place. The touch- sensitive on/off and disc -eject buttons have been supplanted with real buttons which light up when the console is on.

The Slim has a smaller and more power efficient 45nm version of the cell processor. The customary had a 60nm cell processor. This has cut power consumption by two thirds and has made fan noise ever quieter than before. The ps3 slim has built-in Wi-Fi and two Usb ports. The Slim also has a blu-ray drive. The blu-ray drive can be used for movies as well as, games. It has a free online gaming assistance and a built-in web browser.

The new principles has Bravia Sync on it. If you have a Sony Tv, this will be an added bonus because it will allow direct operate of your console with your television remote control. For those who do not own a Sony Tv, this update will not be too important.

The Slim maintains backward compatibility with PlayStation 1 games but just like the customary there is no backwards compatibility for Ps2 games. Meaning you can not play Ps2 games on the Slim. Sony says this feature is off the table entirely. To some, this is disappointing. Gamers who still enjoy their Ps2 games will have to continue with on with using two systems.

There no longer is the choice to install an alternative operating system. The slim does not have infrared port. Which means non-Bluetooth universal remotes are not compatible with Ps3 Slim.

The Slim can stand vertically or horizontally. The Slim tends to become less stable when spinning a disk. You may want to buy the elective stand if you do plan to stand it. Or makeshift your own stand. This will not be a big issue with some gamers.

If you do not have a Ps3 console, or found the original's price tag was a bit too much for your wallet to handle, then now is your time. The Slim is cheaper, lighter ( it will be easier to move from room to room), uses less power as before, and gives you free online play.
