Samsung Ln32A450 32-Inch 720p Lcd Hdtv Vs. Sony Bravia Xbr-Series Kdl-32Xbr6 32-Inch 1080p Lcd Hdtv

In the 32' variety, Sony has made an absolute gem, which is tough to beat. Yet Samsung has launched its own ace and has won many hearts due to key features. Both are framed in black. Here is a comparison.

Sony Bravia

Both Tvs are practically similarly heavy (or light) and come with wall mounts. But the Samsung version is thinner, giving it a sleeker look.

Resolution does not give much scope for comparison. Sony's 32" version has 1080p. That may be too much of pixels if viewed closely. From safe distance, the view is quite real. Samsung's 32" does have only 720p resolution. For the record, the higher the resolution, the higher is the clarity of a Tv.

The image aspect ratio in both televisions is 16:9. That is determined the ideal ratio, as the projections do not feel elongated or widened.

In terms of dynamic difference ratio, Sony wins hand down with a 25000:1 ratio compared to Samsung's 10,000. When that is added to the difference enhancer, you can make out in the middle of many types of black. Picture on Samsung does have help from wide-angle enhancer. That makes Samsung's A450 a good viewing Tv than Sony's 32Xbr6 from angles and heights. But at eye level, Sony is decidedly better.

Then Sony has 4 Hdmi to Samsung's 3. Hdmi or High Definition Multimedia Interface is the computer equivalent of Usb port. The connections with Dvd players, blackberry and Blu-Ray drives can be made.

In sound quality, both are fitted with Trusound technology to dispell excess sound, but the speakers are average.

In response time, it's a one horse race, as Sony has not declared its response time. So pictures may appear slightly slow on Sony's version. Samsung's version has a quality response time of 6 ms. It deals with fast images such as a Bruce Lee chop in real time.

Aesthetically, Samsung wins the fight if fast pictures are what you dig most in a Tv and also if you looking for a good price, but wide Sony is the winner if you are just looking for the best Tv.

Sony replacement Xbr Lcd Television

A few years ago I purchased a new Sony Kds-50A200 Lcd television. At the time, I had done a ton of investigate on which Tv I wanted to get and landed on the Sony. Once I bought it, it turned out to be a phenomenal purchase and we have used it daily ever since. The only supplementary purchase I made is for a replacement bulb 6 months ago.

Sony Bravia

Fast send to a few weeks ago. I came home one day to find a strange green 'tint' to all things that displayed on the Tv. I had assumed that while I was out someone had inadvertently changed a color setting (or something) and started to "fiddle" with it. I moderately discovered that this wasn't the case. Not only had the photo come to be tinted, all the menus themselves had a light green hue to them. Any frustrating moments later, I went to the internet to hunt for a solution.

It turns out entering "Sony Sxrd green tint" in Google will return a bunch of hits about people that have the exact same problem as I do. The basal problem appears to be with the "optical block" and is a known issue with this type of Sony television (I also found out that there was a class operation lawsuit a while back about this problem as well). So, unfortunately, no quick fix or magic "reset" button. As the Tv was out of warranty, I view I was stuck with a green tinted television.

Yesterday, I made one last exertion to find a resolution. In my hunt I came across some data about how Sony was attempting to make things right with effected customers by gift discounted prices on replacement televisions. Since I had petite to lose, I palpate Sony via e-mail through their technical hold website. In just a concentrate of hours I heard back from them and provided them more details on the problem, and the serial number from my television. This morning I received another e-mail from them confirming that I have the visual block issue and gift me some low-priced replacement Tvs:

"Unfortunately, based on your responses it appears that your Tv has an visual block issue. Sony values you as our customer and as such, my next step is to get you in touch with our customer relations team. I have already assigned your file to them.

They will be sending you an email within 2 firm days (M-F) gift you an chance to replace your current Tv with one of our new Tv's at a discounted purchase price. These new Tv's are Lcd flat panel designs which do not use an visual block. They also do not want replacement lamps."

Then I received the following with the offer details:

Thank you for contacting the Sony replacement Dept.,

We will contribute you an offer to replace your television.

Kdl55Ex500 0.00 + local sales tax

Kdl46Ex500 .00 + local sales tax

I looked these up and they are both highly-rated Tvs worth well over the request price. In one day I went from the guy with the green-tinted Tv from hell, to getting a good replacement Tv for a huge discount! Way to go Sony!

I've contacted them and provided the primary data and paid for my replacement Tv (and am just waiting my new Tv to arrive). If you're in the same boat, go ahead and try contacting Sony. There response was incredibly quick and all things worked out well for me. What have you got to lose?

Sony Bravia

These 3D laptops are ready to be launched in spring 2011. Using frame sequential technology, these laptops rapidly cycle the full screen view between left eye and the right eye. It has blank screens in between to reduce crosstalk and provide a much best image capability to the user. The laptop will show videos at a rate of 240 frames in a second which is important to catch up with a rate of 3D videos at 60 frames per second.
